Racing Game UI Mockup

I've been wanting to explore the UI aesthetic for a brightly-colored racing game for a while now. I made these slides in Canva, arranging available assets to the palette I envisioned and utilized the built-in animations that I felt suited each element. The concept for the main character art you can see in my portfolio here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/vJxWV6

This was my favorite screen to mock-up. The idea of communicating through emoji is a fun way to worldbuild.

In the video you can see the location images are videos. Ideally, they would play when hovered over/highlighted in the center.

The first screen I designed, riffing off an Instagram post template in Canva. I adjusted the color scheme to be the bright pop and was excited to realize I could add a video as the background.

The black, though used on all other screens, felt out of place here with the muted setting. I think the lighter button scheme here would help transport the player into the scene.
